Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of fine, sterile, single use, disposable needles into specific
sites (acupuncture points) along the body’s energy pathways (meridians) to clear energy blockages and encourage the normal flow of energy, or Qi, through the body.
As well as the use of needles, other modalities can sometimes be used to stimulate acupuncture points including
acupressure, moxibustion, cupping, laser therapy, electro-stimulation and massage, in order to rebalance the flow of Qi.
Acupuncture can be used in the treatment of both acute (recent onset) and chronic (long term)
conditions. Dr Grant Wilkinson D.C, B.Sc, M.Sc has achieved certification for Musculoskeletal Aucupuncture through the
Australian College of Education.
